Marcia Mantell

Marcia Mantell is a Senior Retirement Advisor for Fidelity Investments Canada Limited. A former vice president of Retirement Marketing at Fidelity Investments US, she brings more than 15 years of retirement experience and research to Canada. She has been called upon by the national media for expert commentary on retirement and the challenges facing Canadian baby boomers as they begin to retire. She has appeared on BNN, has been interviewed on local radio, and has been quoted in many print articles across Canada.
 

Mark Tibergien

Mark Tibergien is a principal in Moss Adams LLP. He is partner-in-charge of the Business Consulting Group, chairman of the Securities & Insurance Niche, and chairman of the Business Valuation Niche for the firm. Mr. Tibergien has been working with public and private companies on matters related to business management, succession planning, and strategy formulation since 1973. He is the co-author of Practice Made Perfect and How to Value, Buy, or Sell a Financial Advisory Practice, both published by Bloomberg Press. He also writes a monthly column for Investment Advisor magazine.



Ron Bowes

Ron Bowes is a Senior Vice-President of Sales at CI Investments. He manages a territory with over $1 billion in assets and works with hundreds of advisors in growing their businesses. Ron has 16 years of industry experience. He has been with CI Investments since 1993 and in that time has built relationships with MFDA and IDA advisors from all over Southern and Central Ontario. He holds several industry designations and a BA from McMaster University.
 


Steve Kunzel

Steve Kunzel, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing.

Education:
HBA in Business Administration, University of Western Ontario, Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Professional Financial Planning (PFP), Certified Investment Manager (CIM), Partners Directors and Officers (PDO) from the Canadian Securities Institute

Business:
24 years in the financial services industry, including 16 years dedicated to wealth management. Previous employer was CIBC Asset Management and its predecessor company Talvest Fund Management. Progressive responsibilities including:
- Strategic management
- Sales & sales management
- Investment committee and portfolio manager due diligence

 



Richard Jenkins

Richard Jenkins is a vice president and portfolio manager at AIM Trimark Investments, based in Toronto.

Originally from Edmonton, Richard began his investment career in 1986 as an investment analyst at Colliers Macaulay Nicolls. He later became portfolio manager at Alberta Mortgage and Housing Corporation and investmanger (European equities) at Toronto-Dominion Investment Management.

Richard joined Aim Trimark in 1994 to work alongside Bob Krembil on Trimark Fund and Trimark Select Growth Fund, and during his tenure has distinguished himself as one of the industry's premier portfolio managers. Richard was instrumental in the launch of Trimark Europlus Fund in 1997 and Trimark Global Balanced Fund in 1999. Trimark Europlus Fund was among the best performing in its category during the time he co-managed it, winning a Canadian Investment Award (CIA) as Best European Equity Fund in 2004. He also co-manages Trimark Global Balanced Fund with the same expertise, as the Fund has won the CIA's Global Balanced Fund of the year for three years running (2004,2005 and 2006).

Richard's courage of conviction allows his to manage concentrated portfolios and strive to keep emotions out of the decision-making. While it may be easier to follow the crowd than take a stand, Richard recalls the saying, "If everyone was going to jump off a bridge, would you? You were given a brain - now use it!" Taking these words to heart, Richard is not afraid to be controversial or challenge conventional "wisdom." In fact, he summarizes his investment belief this way; "Equity markets are generally efficient. Our job is to focus on those few investment cases where you believe the market has it wrong. To do this, you had better be prepared to look different than everyone else."
 


Angelo DeStefano 

Angelo DeStefano joined AGF in April 2005, and brought with him a decade of investment industry experience, most of which has been focused in sales and consulting. As Regional Vice President of sales for Eastern Ontario he prefers to focus his time on helping financial advisors grow their practices. Strong ethics, education and mutually beneficial relationships lend themselves to becoming successful and respected in the investment industry, all of which Angelo constantly strives to expand and perfect.

His education includes an Honours Economics degree at Wilfrid Laurier University, the CSC, PFP, CPH and Canadian Options Course. Angelo is also a CFA charterholder and completed his designation in 2001.
 


Larry Jeddeloh

Larry is the Editor of The Institutional Strategist; Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of TIS Group in Minneapolis. He is an experienced investment management professional with over 27 years in the business. Previously, Larry held the position of Chief Investment Officer of Resource Capital Advisers, with responsibilities for $1 billion in assets. Prior to joining Resource, he spent two years in Switzerland with the Union Bank of Switzerland in Zürich, where he was a Vice Director and the Chief Investment Strategist in the Institutional Global Asset Management Group.
 


Tasos Dovolos  

Tasos Dovolos is a Regional Sales Manager for Franklin Templeton Investments, responsible for broadening client relationships through providing investment solutions to Franklin Templeton’s partners in the retail advice channel and leading the expansion of Franklin Templeton's market coverage in the Eastern Ontario region.
Mr. Dovolos joined Franklin Templeton Investments in February 1996 and has over 11 years of progressive financial services experience. Mr. Dovolos holds a Bachelor of Arts in entrepreneurial management and development (BA) from Ryerson Polytechnic University.
He also holds a Professional Financial Planners designation (PFP) and has completed his Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
